The founder of the Company, Andreas Lachaniotis, is a bachelor’s degree Holder in Vehicle Engineering and Internal Combustion Engines with 20 years of relevant experience in engines, and subsystems of Vehicles, Ships, Leisure boats, military boats, generators and trains.

The last 10 years he has been working in the highly demanding and tough environment of Saudi Arabia, initially as a Workshop Manager of MTU Distributor in Saudi Arabia, in applications such as Marine, Power Generation and Trains, where he has been extensively trained in MTU FN Training Centre, in the maintenance and complete overhauling of engines such as Series 396, BR2000, BR4000 and others, as well as in the Monitoring and Control Systems of engines and Marine Automation Systems, such as Blueline, Smartline, ECU4-7 and others. Additional to MTU he has training certifications from SEATEK S.p.A., ZF Marine Gearboxes Arco, MASE Generators S.p.A. and Arneson Surface Drives. Later and within the same company he became the project manager and workshop manager for the construction of 8 Fast Patrol RHIB Boats for the Royal Saudi Navy Force where he actively oversaw the production, the assembly and all installation of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems. Finally, he did the handover and the training to the Navy officers of the above-mentioned boats.

His knowledge and expertise go beyond standard mechanical and electrical fields and extend to material technology and automations. In his newly founded company, he undertakes Services and repairs of all propulsion and subsystems of boats, always using factory approved operations and methodology, using original and well-chosen parts to suit each individual project.

West Technical Services aims to supplying technical services and solutions mainly in the Peloponnese and West Greece Region, and in cooperation with selected partners in Athens and South Aegean Sea, can cover technical needs in almost the entire Greek territory.
